  2. At exactly 8:42 AM, a Boeing 767 en route to Los Angeles with 56 passengers crashes into the north tower of the World Trade Center in Manhattan, rattling the 110-story milestone.
  3. 9:03 AM: A Boeing 757 flying from Washington, D.C., to Los Angeles with 58 passengers smashed into the World Trade Center's south tower, sending flares out the opposite side.
  4. 9:40 AM: Federal authorities close all domestic airports.
  5. 9:45 AM: An aircraft plane of undetermined size crashes into the Pentagon, igniting an immeasurable amount of fire that collapses part of the massive office building.
  6. 10:00 AM: The 110-story World Trade Center's south tower crumbles to the street. The north tower breakdown minutes later.
  7. 10:05 AM: White House evacuated.
  8. 10:48 AM: The fourth aircraft, conveying 38 passengers from Newark, N.J. to San Francisco smashed southeast of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.


Number Of Casualties

  1. Precisely 2,996 people from 57 distinct countries lost their lives in this terrible occurrence.
  2. Of the 2,996 who kicked the bucket on 9/11, including the 19 hijackers, 2,753 were killed at the World Trade Center.
